Nayshunda O. Burke, Owner of Notary Needz Mobile, recently hosted the Georgia Process Servers and Notary Power Session for new and seasoned notaries in the Atlanta area. This session focused on networking, information sharing and adding value to notaries at any stage in their business.
Attendees were challenged to use their creativity and critical thinking skills during the event's activities and to apply these strategies and steps to their notary businesses. GaNN attends "Women Who Lead" for Women's History Month
Co-Founders Samantha Smith and Kandi Thomas represented the #gannfam at the Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s recent event, “Women Who Lead”. This one-day event held in Tifton, Georgia was filled with experience, wisdom and energy from women leaders from across the state who are making national and global impact.
Those in attendance participated in large group discussions, received information and stories of inspiration from panel members, and participated in breakout sessions focused on mentorship and personal and professional branding.
Co-Founder and 2023 GaNN President Kandi Thomas believes the impact of this event will last for years to come. “The insight that was shared helped reset my perspective on the areas of my life where I want to add value.”
Attendees also got the opportunity to network during the event while sharing stories and making valuable connections.
“This was hands down the best, female focused, event that I have ever attended,” said Co-Founder and 2023 Communications Coordinator Samantha Smith. “No one was left hungry, empty, or uninspired. Those in attendance either saw themselves or found themselves during the day’s activities.”

GaNN Co-Founder selected as inaugural TruisT Fellow

The Truist Fellowship, powered by Watson Institute, is a 16-week program that equips entrepreneurs, small business owners, and nonprofit leaders with technical training, directly applicable business skills, and financial literacy to increase their positive impact within the communities they support through job creation and economic development. GaNN Co-Founder Samantha Smith has been accepted into the inaugural cohort as a 2023 Truist Fellow.
This Fellowship is for individuals impacting or serving emerging markets across rural and urban Georgia.
"I am excited to be apart of this amazing group of leaders who are impacting Georgia in these different industries," Smith said. "I am intentional about learning new skills that I can bring back to the organization that will impact the Georgia Notary community."

Celebrating through service: Notaries recognize National Black Business month
August is National Black Business Month and notaries celebrated celebrating through service!
Office Depot hosted members of the #gannfam for a day of service during "Free Community Notary Day" on Saturday, August 6th at Office Depot in Statesboro, Georgia. GaNN members Samantha Smith and Kandi Q. Thomas notarized documents for FREE during the day-long event. "The free community notary day was a great way to not only celebrate National Black Business Month, but it also allowed us to connect with people in the community and create other opportunities for service," said Samantha Smith. |

GaNN Member Ms. Vannetta Iddrisu, Owner of VBI Notary Services participated in Paulding County's 1st ever Juneteenth Festival! The festival was presented by the Hiram Rosenwald School Museum. Rosenwald schools were built all over the South by Julius Rosenwald, co-founder of Sears and Roebuck to educate black children during the 1930s-1950s. The Hiram location is one of the few buildings left in existence and serves as the Black History Museum. GaNN thanks Ms. V for the way she supports and represents GaNN!

GaNN Corporate Member Notarize is pleased to announce its recognition as a 2022 America Saves Champion.
The America Saves Savings Champion Award is an annual, industry-respected award that recognizes organizations that effectively and actively promoted saving strategies during America Saves Week, which took place this year from February 21-25, 2022.
